RJ and Jay Paul are determined to keep going at there great pace, catching 40 gators on day 1 was great! But now that the price is up on gator hides and meat, its almost like a gold rush! The bayou is full of people trying to get a piece of the action. To get away from people RJ and Jay Paul resort to an old canal! There first line looks promising but when they pull there line up they have nothing but a bent hook! Only a big gator can do this kind of a thing. A great sign there on track to get some big gators! But then they see some bad news, there not alone. There are people right across the swamp baiting lines! This goes against every code of the bayou! Jay Paul explains that if he sees someone hanging a line first, he will leave that territory alone and go bait for gators somewhere else. It’s called respect.
RJ knows how to spot an amateur and this ones obvious, the fisherman has a great line but then he has a twine tied on the end of it? RJ questions why wouldn’t you just try to catch a gator with a green string? This isn’t the first time that RJ has ran into other fisherman on the bayou, and a battle might be brewing.
Liz and Kristi are still stocking a gator that’s coming closer and closer to friends on the bayou! Over population is a problem now but back in 1962 alligators were in danger of becoming extinct so Louisiana’s Wildlife and fishery department started a repopulation program allowing the animal to flourish. Today Liz and Kristi are hunting on land to help there friend with an alligator problem. Kristi and Liz almost have the gator they are looking for but he pops there line. An alligator this big could easily snatch a child at the edge of the canal. The beast has learned his lesson now that he has bitten a hook and probably wont bite again. Liz and Kristi decide to wait and watch from the back of there pickup truck.
Junior and Willie are still stocking Leo the Lion, They decide to paddle there boat into the middle of the bayou after they get a glimpse of the gator, They paddle out into the bayou instead of running there motor so the gator thinks there gone. It doesn’t take long for the strategy to work. The gator is really quick when coming up for air so Willie grabs his treble hook, snagging the gator! Once again the line goes slack. Leo has escaped for the second time today!!
