Rush to Claim a Place in History: Swamp People casting for season 3 Going On

No I am not talking about getting a place in history books. All I mean is to get a chance to appear on History Channel’s most talked about reality TV show Swamp People. Currently in its second season, the show has broken all records of viewership and is topping the charts of popularity. Even the makers of this series would not have imagined such a response from the audience. The show is all about adventurous people going to and hunting alligators in the great swamp area in Louisiana in US.

There was a time not so long ago when authorities were concerned about dwindling population of gators in the swamp and even had to resort to asking native people to stop hunting alligators and help in their conservation. The brave tribal population, though they made a living hunting and through subsistence farming, cooperated with the authorities with the result that gator population not only stabilize, it even increased to a level that encouraged authorities to issue licenses to adventurous people to come to Louisiana and engage in alligator hunting for a moth of hunting season. Swamp People History Channel traces day to day life of these people along with natives of Swamp area as they go about their mission of hunting alligators.

There are people who are adventurous and ready to go to any length to get a chance for hunting. These are people who have the required license for hunting by their state authorities and are making a beeline to get a chance to be allowed to enter the swamp area and to start on alligator hunting. All body parts of alligators have a great market and in high demand which means that any alligator that is captured by teams appearing in Swamp People gets sold for a decent amount There are people who make close to a hundred thousand dollars in one month of alligator hunting in the swamp area which is just about their yearly income.

Given the craze of the people to be a part of the Swamp People History Channel, the casting crew of the show is having a horrid time facing an unprecedented crowd to choose from. Though the criterion for choosing people is a valid hunting license to hunt alligators in the state of Louisiana, there is such a crowd responding to the call of audition that casting crew is virtually being mobbed wherever they go for an audition. Season 2 is already a big hit, and if the response of the people to the reality series is anything to go by, Swamp People Season 3 is going to be a mega hit.

If you think you have it in you what it takes to brave the swamp area of Louisiana and also have the guts to hunt down alligators, you too can apply with a valid hunting license to be a part of swamp people season 3. The location with dates is being advertised in newspapers and many websites these days as the Channel is looking for brave new people.
